The B&M Ripper Shifter We looked at Steeda′s shifter, 5.0 shifter, and a couple of others and found them all to be adequate but we wanted more than adequate. We wanted the best! B&M's technology and experience sets the standard again with the strongest T-56 manual shifters you can buy! Others claim to be the strongest, but nothing on the market is stronger than the Ripper. Don′t be fooled by claims that ultra-strength billet steel is stronger, it isn′t. Just how strong is this shifter? Both the upper and lower sticks are made from heat treated virgin 17-4 Precipitation Hardened Stainless Steel and both have a minimum tensile strength of 150,000 psi. B&M knows that while you′re ripping through the gears, the last thing you need to worry about is whether your shifter is going to survive. Chances are, the Ripper will be the one thing in your car you′ll never have to replace!
