Since the Duramax did not come with a factory lift pump, the factory CP3 injection pump has to pull fuel under vacuum. This can introduce air and vapor into your fuel leading to injector failure. The FASS D-Max Fuel Pump provides your LML Duramax engine with a constant 8 PSI of fuel pressure to reduce the factory CP3 workload and prevent the introduction of air and vapor.
